One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well. — Virginia Woolf
We are detoxing between two weekends of incessant festivities.
(But, you know, there’s still room for some almond+fig spread.)
I wish I could eat oatmeal or hot cereals… they smell so good, but get into my mouth and turn to … goop and I can’t swallow. :-/ My children are hot cereal maniacs, grits, oatmeal malt-o-meal and lately mixing maple brown sugar m-o-m and grits together… the youngest likes peanut butter in his cereals, he says they “last longer in my tummy” that way.
I have been completely dead to the world since about 4pm on Christmas day – the flu hit me like a hammer – I have been looking for a good, non-alcoholic hot-toddy – is there such a thing?
Oh, sorry to hear about the flu–and what timing, too! It takes forever to bounce back, doesn’t it?
Peanut butter in oatmeal IS delicious! See what you’re missing?
